InMotion motorized bikes introduce clients to “forced-exercise” therapy, which encourages a cycler to pedal at a rate faster than normal. This mild increase in speed appears to help various regions of the brain that control movement to function more cohesively. Certified coaches will guide clients through this exercise program and help them pedal to their peak.
Cycling provides a range of benefits for those with movement disorders. Research conducted by Dr. Jay Alberts here in Cleveland and promoted through his Pedaling for Parkinson’s project, has shown clients experience a reduction in symptoms after completing an eight-week cycling program, including a decrease in tremors and improvement in handwriting.
