Thankful Thursday – Sister Lucia Haas

What are you thankful for?

There is so much to beauty to enjoy during the holiday season – including those around us who have helped us on our way, bringing us to where we are today.

Many clients have expressed their gratitude for the services provided and the community of support at InMotion. Today we would like to share with you a #ThankfulThursday story from one of our clients here at InMotion:

“I am a Sister of Notre Dame who just moved from Sarasota, Florida where I completed 39 years as president of Cardinal Mooney High School. My community suggested I return to Chardon, Ohio because of my diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. I agreed, realizing that I could not continue to function well in my position as well as safely operate a car.

When I attended a local panel discussion on Clinical Trials for Parkinson’s disease, I visited the booth representing InMotion and met Cathe Schwartz, our Executive Director. Besides picking up papers about the Center, I set up an orientation appointment at InMotion. That meeting introduced me to the fabulous facility which is InMotion. It’s not only a diversified center for activities touching mind, body, spirit, but also a community of care-filled, competent staff and kind and compassionate clients. And it includes the folks who are carepartners. Every person and aspect of the program communicates one message – WE CAN BEAT PARKINSON’S…EVERY DAY!  I pray for all who have been part of the planning of this facility as well as those who now make it happen…in real time.  I feel the power of its mission and vision and feel very blessed to be a part of it. I speak this testimonial wherever I go.” – Sister Lucia Haas
