The InMotion support groups address the needs of two kinds of people: those diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (“clients”), and those who are in some way connected to people with Parkinson’s (“advocates”.)
Client support groups meet weekly over a period of 8 consecutive weeks in closed-door sessions that are comprised of 8 to 10 participants. When clients join and broaden the circle, certified facilitators impart proven approaches to overcome the challenges of today and tomorrow.
Advocate support groups meet weekly, and are comprised of 8 to 10 participants. These friends, family and loved ones are given new tools that empower them to support those who are dealing with the challenges of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. Certified facilitators lead the sessions and help advocates cope with their own feelings.
