Focus on well-being
The Bill and Sally Greene Speaker Series consists of non-medical topic presentations led by certified educators, physical trainers, social workers, and others, who will focus on how to enhance the minds, bodies and spirits of InMotion clients and advocates.
Topics include physical well-being, nutrition, speech enhancement techniques, and Tai Chi.
The Bill and Sally Greene Speaker Series presentations will be held on the third Wednesday of each month at 2:00 p.m.
“Brain Foods – How What We Eat Affects Brain Health” with Lisa Altenbaugh
Wednesday, March 21 at 2:00 pm
Building blocks of a healthy eating plan (protein, carbohydrates, fat and fiber). Will discuss the impact that spikes in our blood sugar have on the health of our bodies and our brains. Mediterranean diet and the DASH diets. These two plans have led researchers to create an eating plan they refer to as the MIND diet. The do’s and don’ts of this very practical and realistic way to eat.
