Volunteers Are the Heart of InMotion

At InMotion, we offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to support our mission of helping individuals with Parkinson’s disease. Whether you’re interested in welcoming clients at the reception desk or assisting with classes or events, there are many ways to get involved and make a positive impact. Volunteers are a vital part of our community, and we welcome those who share our commitment to enhancing the lives of people with Parkinson’s disease.

Front Desk/Reception Volunteer

We are looking for both regular and substitute volunteers. We will train all volunteers so they will feel comfortable with InMotion’s policies and procedures and are equipped to answer our client’s questions. Typical regular volunteer commitment: 2.5-4 hours, once per week, weekday morning or afternoon. Substitute volunteers are trained as a regular volunteer, and called as needed to substitute when someone is unable to volunteer on a particular date.

Duties include: registering clients for classes, class check-in, answering phones, directing people who enter the building to the appropriate person or classroom, and generally being the first welcoming face that people see when they enter the space.

Volunteer Coach

We are looking for volunteer coaches for our exercise classes, who will assist certified coaches during class with setup, assist clients, cleanup. Volunteer coaches will receive training from class coaches and veteran volunteers. Typical volunteer coach commitment: one 1-hour class per week, weekday morning or afternoon. We welcome volunteering for multiple classes during the week. Training is provided.
