InMotion Partners with Davis Phinney Foundation to Launch Live Online Cycling Classes

InMotion® is thrilled to announce the launch of Pedaling for Parkinson’s™: LIVE from InMotion, a new series of live, instructor-led online cycling classes for people living with Parkinson’s disease. In partnership with the Davis Phinney Foundation, InMotion will broadcast two live classes per week via Zoom, making evidence-based exercise accessible to people with Parkinson’s nationwide. Research has shown that consistent cycling three times per week can reduce motor symptoms by up to 35%. Classes begin May 4. Learn more and sign up at www.beinmotion.org/live.

InMotion® is proud to have served as a partner site in a groundbreaking study led by Dr. Aasef Shaikh and his team at University Hospitals and the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System. The research reveals that long-term, dynamic exercise may help create new brain pathways for people with Parkinson’s disease — offering measurable and hopeful changes in neural activity after adaptive cycling sessions.
InMotion® Helps Lead AI Smile Test for Detection of Parkinson’s Disease
A new study published in the New England Journal of Medicine highlights how artificial intelligence (AI) may transform early Parkinson’s disease screening. Researchers trained an AI model to analyze short smile videos, achieving nearly 88% accuracy in distinguishing people with and without Parkinson’s disease.
The study, which involved more than 1,400 participants across North America and Bangladesh, shows promise for cost-effective, remote screening tools—especially in underserved areas.
InMotion® collaborated on this groundbreaking research, which was supported by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other partners.
