American Ninja Warrior Jimmy Choi to Participate in Pals in Motion Event!

InMotion is excited to announce that American Ninja Warrior Jimmy Choi will be joining us on Sunday, September 17th for the upcoming Pals In Motion Family Fitness Event! The event will include a 5K run, 1-mile walk, Yoga, and an obstacle course. Choi will open the day and be participating in events throughout the morning.

Choi, a 41-year-old tech consultant from Illinois, was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson’s disease at age 27.

Symposium Event Recap: Art, Creativity, Jewish Genetics and Parkinson’s

On Sunday April 2nd, over 200 people attended a fascinating symposium at The Temple-Tifereth Israel in Beachwood, combining art, creativity, Jewish genetics and Parkinson’s.

Organized and hosted by InMotion co-founder and Michael J. Fox Foundation Patient Advisory Council member Dr. Karen Jaffe, the symposium brought together people from several different worlds to inform and inspire.

Artist Peter Leventhal and his compelling and emotional paintings that make up his “Lamed-Vav” series were on display in The Temple’s beautiful new art gallery. ...

Taking it to Capitol Hill: PD Advocacy Reflections from a Carepartner by Marc Jaffe

On Feb. 28, 2017, InMotion founder Karen Jaffe and I (her husband Marc) spent the day on Capitol Hill along with 200 other advocates, meeting with Representatives and Senators to express the concerns of the Parkinson’s community.

This was the first year that the Michael J. Fox Foundation had organized this day, having recently combined with The Parkinson’s Action Network. They prepared us well, with an all-day seminar so we knew what issues to bring up and how best to get the Congress men and women and their staffers to care. ...
